The Case of the Phone Box Murder is the tenth short story in the fourth anthology of Biggles Air Police short stories entitled Biggles and the Pirate Treasure. The anthology was first published in July, 1954 by Brockhampton. In the anthology, this story is preceded by The Case of the Flying Clown and followed by The Unknown Diamonds.

Synopsis[]

A known criminal is found dead, stabbed inside a London phone box. Inside the phone, Gaskin and Biggles find a disc of a rare and valuable metallic alloy. On the ground is a piece of a menu from a restaurant in Vienna dated the night before. Somehow he had flown to London overnight....
