Raymond has yet another urgent assignment for Biggles and Ginger. Someone has stolen a Mark 9 tank from its factory. The missing tank must be found and recovered urgently--it incorporates secret armour technology and could do great harm if it fell into the wrong hands.

The area around the factory is remote hilly terrain. A tank could not have moved far. Biggles and Ginger patrol the area in a Fairey Delta 2. There is not much to see, but Ginger notices a house. A little while later, they overfly the house again. Ginger insists that the house has moved. Looking at it, Biggles agrees. Earlier it was among the trees. Now it had moved further down the slope.

Biggles lands the Delta and they get out to investigate. They hear a motor revving and the house moving. It doesn't take long to learn the truth. The house was just a light shell built over the tank. Two men have stolen the tank and were moving it disguised as a house!

The plot is, of course, borrowed from Camouflage.
