Salvage Pirates is the first of two stories in Issue 60 of the Adventures of Biggles comic series published by Action Comics of Sydney, Australia, issued around Aug 1957. The story is followed by another story The Heat Barrier The artist is credited as John Dixon.

The inside front cover has a feature on "Helicopters" featuring the Fairey Ultralight helicopter, Westland Widgeon, and Bristol 173.
