In Biggles Foreign Legionnaire, Louis ran the Bar Pigale in the town of Zebrit, Algeria. Louis is described as a stout, jovial Frenchman. His bar was a popular hangout for off-duty foreign legionnaires from the nearby Foreign Legion training centre.
