In Biggles in the Baltic, the team fly a floatplane fighter which looks a lot like a militarised Supermarine S.6B. It should logically be added to the Canonical list of aircraft flown by Biggles and co.
Where are you getting that it looks like an S6? The original cover illustrations show what is basically a monoplane version of the Fairey Swordfish and the frontispiece definitely shows something radial engined.
